What is the investmentgrade diamond? According to the rules, these are the highest quality diamonds:

1. 1 carat and up for round diamonds or 3 carats and up for other cuts.
2. D, E, F color for whites, intense and vivid for fancy colors.
3. 3Ex in rounds or 2Ex (cut, polish, and symmetry are certified as excellent).
4. Typically comes with a GIA certificate.

But how does it work in reality?

Investment is supposed to bring dividends and/or make the invested capital grow. In some cases, it’s just about maintaining the money and diversifying your portfolio.

Most investors have the same question: How quickly can I get my money back if I want to sell the diamond? So, liquidity is the key factor. This means that the better the price you get, the more liquid your diamond is, and the better it works as an investment.

So, the hotter the offer, the more investment-friendly the diamond is.
